Lions club of Perumbavoor was inaugurated on May 7,1970 and chartered on September 2,1970 with 28 charter members. Lions club of Perumbavoor was sponsored by Lions club of Alwaye. Lions club of Perumbavoor sponsored six clubs, Lions club of Mattancherry, Kalamassery, Kothamangalam, Airport city Nedumbassery, Chelamattam, and Cochin Empire.
Lions club of Perumbavoor is a leading club in the district implementing many humanitarian service activities every year. We celebrated our silver Jubilee in 1994 – 95 with the slogan “Parkkan Oru Parpidam” and constructed 25 houses to needy people in and around Perumbavoor. We celebrated our golden Jubilee in 2019 -20 by helping 50 “ANGANVADIES” and started the renovation of the club. We have been recognized as the best club in the district many times and in fact, we won the best club award in District 318 C for the last three consecutive years from 2019 -20, indeed a rare honor.
